Nicknamed the "work horse", and appropriately so, the Model TE-7 pump is the backbone of the MARCH product line. The TE-7R-MD standard pump is equipped with a 3/4 HP motor and wetted materials of polypropylene, with the exception of the rear housing, which is manufactured of Ryton® for additional strength.
A few of the wetted material options in the TE-7 are: all polypropylene, all Kynar®, stainless steel and Hastelloy®. Bushing material for the TE-7 ranges from the standard carbon to mica filled Teflon® and includes ceramic and a Teflon®/Ryton®/carbon material. Selection of the right bushing depends on the solution being pumped
As with the bushings, a variety of spindles are available to insure complete material/solution compatibility. The ceramic spindle is standard and two other spindles are available, stainless steel or Hastelloy®. Each of the aforementioned spindles can handle solutions that contain minute solids. It should be noted again that when metallic pumps are shipped, the impeller magnet assembly is shipped in a separate carton to avoid being damage during transport.
The motor on the TE-7 pump is a true 3/4 HP, not a derated 1 HP. In addition to the standard 3/4 HP a 1 HP and 1 ½ HP motor can be supplied for the TE-7S and the TE-7H as well as various explosion proof and chemical duty motors.
The flexibility of the number 7 pump is evident in the wide variety of applications in which it is used. Various specific gravities can be handled by trimming the diameter of the impeller magnet assembly. The standard 3.750 inch impeller may be reduced in size to 3.125 inch to accommodate specific gravities of up to 2.0. There have been occasions when the front impeller shroud had been removed for a specific application.
As with all MARCH pumps, a wide variety of options are available. The MARCH
model TE-7 is truly the "workhorse" of the product line and undoubtedly the
most versatile.
